Key features

The completed area combined creative design, durable materials, and interactive features to provide a versatile and stimulating environment. Key elements of the works included

Central outdoor classroom:
A 7m-wide outdoor classroom was installed at the heart of the space, featuring coloured roof panels and integrated sensory play panels to support both learning and engagement

Timber teepee tunnels and enclosed teepees:
A series of timber teepee tunnels and enclosed teepees were incorporated to create areas for imaginative play, seating, and wellbeing activities

Timber stepping blocks and benches:
Custom timber stepping blocks and benches were installed to provide additional physical play opportunities and seating throughout the area

Varied surfacing solutions:
The area was surfaced using a range of Infinity Bound™ products, including coloured EPDM, rubber mulch, permapave, and artificial grass. This combination of textures and finishes enhanced safety, accessibility, and visual interest

Play safe fencing:
The entire area was enclosed with robust play safe fencing to provide a secure and safe environment for pupils
